I was recently awarded the “Thinking Blogger Award” from Liesl of “Come, Mommy” on Sunday and then again from Eva of “Antropologa” on Monday. Thank you, Liesl and Eva! I am so honored that you have given the award to me and am glad to learn that I have inspired you (and hopefully others) to think. πŸ™‚

I had not heard of the award before Liesl mentioned it, but a quick Google search turned up this post that seems to be the place where it all got started on Feb. 11. The “Thinking Blogger Award” is a meme-based award bestowed upon fellow bloggers who make you think. The participation rules can be found here.

My mission, should I choose to accept it (and I do!), is to pass the award on to five other bloggers who make me think. This was not an easy task for me since pretty much all of the blogs I read are “thinking” blogs. However, I decided to stick with the rules and only choose five blogs, even though I could’ve included many, many more.

Each of these ladies, through their wonderful blogs, have inspired me to think about a wide range of topics – from breastfeeding and lactivism to veganism and environmentalism to self-awareness, spirituality, motivation, and the power of being a woman. They are all very deserving of the Thinking Blogger Award.

Leigh of Mere Mortal Mama
Jennifer of The Lactivist
Christina of Dharma Mom
Amy of A Little Peek Inside
Kleo of Pisces Place

Thank you to all of the bloggers and commenters (without blogs) who inspire me to think and give my brain a workout on a daily basis. You all rock! πŸ™‚

First of all, congrats my friend. Yes, yes, yes you deserve this award. The thoughts and insights in your blogs never cease to amaze me…you are constantly ON.
As for you awarding me?? No words! What can this woman of typically TOO many words now say to you, someone who has inspired me not only through her continual quest for knowledge and insight, but through her courageous choices and incredible birthing journies? Wow. I am deeply humbled. And now realize I have a large task at hand: to get to posting all those THINGS that have been rattling around in my brain, no matter how raw or unedited or crazy they sound.
THank you for lighting the fire. πŸ™‚

Hi Amy. Your blog is inspiring to ME! Leigh’s post above covers what i feel as well about you and your photographs and words of inspiration, wit and knowledge. I try to visit you (via your blog, of course) every day to see what you are thinking and feeling… some of the things that matter to you that you share with the world… because what you write and the photos you post (especially of your kids!) also deeply influence my own attitudes and emotions. Not only about things i already believe but also things i have never been clued in about. And for that more than anything, i thank YOU. The honour bestowed on you is very well-deserved indeed. Congratulations, Amy! And thank you for honouring me. I’m extremely flattered that you visit my blog and enjoy it! Here’s to you, your family, your friends… and to many more years of you sharing your world, your vision with US!

Amy, I am deeply flattered that you chose my blog as one that makes you think! I can honestly say that your content keeps me checking back daily to contemplate your words and I have to say that you are extraordinarily talented in your expression both in the written word and behind the camera.

Now I’m even more motivated to keep up on my blog postings because I now know that what I have to say actually does have an effect on those who do happen across it.

    Thank you again!
    Namaste and Shanti
    Amy P.

  6. Liesl Says:

Congratulations, and thanks once again for all the food for thought πŸ™‚
